102 or 1×2, that's the question...

Just two days ago, I broke my ceramic coffee dripper. Soon after I went to the city center to purchase a new one but couldn't find the size 1×2 dripper. First there were few coffee drippers in stores, because coffee machines are mainstream in Germany. Second, the size 102 or 1×4 is popular in German.
Finally I bought the size 102 filter today.

This one has sharper shape than 1×2.

I compared the paper size of 102 with 1×2.




The bigger and sharper one is the size 102.

And then I dripped a pot of coffee. It tasted better than before. There might be some causes like dripper's shape, filter quality and so on. In my opinion, it should be dripper's material. This can affects coffee's temperature. Ceramic filter tends to lower the temperature of water, especially in winter. But my new one is plastic. The plastic one can keep water's temperature high. This should be good for its taste. And the new taste is my cup of tea.
